Mr. Glenn Harshberger is Chief of the Human Performance Wing Cadre, an office which is establishing the Human Performance Wing, or HPW. The HPW will bring together the AFRL Human Effectiveness Directorate, the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine, the Air Force Institute of Operational Health, and the 311th Human Systems Wing’s Performance Enhancement Directorate into a single organization within AFRL. This organization will be focused on providing the Air Force with human related technology research, readiness training, and resolution of operational health issues. Prior to this position, Mr. Harshberger was the Chief, Integration and Operations Division for AFRL’s Human Effectiveness Directorate. His past assignments include tours at HQ Air Force Materiel Command and HQ Air Force Systems Command. He began his career in 1980 at the Air Force Flight Dynamics Laboratory, the forerunner of AFRL’s Air Vehicles Directorate.
Mr. Harshberger holds a BS in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech, and an MS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Dayton. He is a graduate of the Air Command and Staff College, the Air War College, and the Defense System Management College’s Program Manager Course.
