InfoTech Conferences and other Dayton-Wright Chapter activities have been instrumental in helping to create the world-class “Hub” of High Performance Computing; constructive and virtual Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis, operational support systems expertise, Government and industry technical infrastructure, and other technical capabilities that exist in the Wright-Patterson/Greater Dayton Region.  This national “Hub” of IT capability is a major enabling force behind Air Force Materiel Command’s leadership of the Develop and Sustain Warfighting Systems Air Force and Air Force Smart Operations 21 initiatives; the Aeronautical Systems Center’s technical leadership in building the modeling, simulation, and analysis processes (Air Force—Integrated Collaborative Environment)  necessary to support Development Planning and Capabilities Integration for the Air Force; the 554 Electronic Systems Group’s implementing the Operational Support Modernization Program necessary for on-going support of Global War on Terror combat operations.
