Overview
This conference is conducted annually by the Dayton-Wright Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) since 1991. It is AFCEA’s premier information technology event in the Mid-West, featuring top-level speakers, business seminars, and professional training sessions.
Over 2,500 industry, Government, and academic professionals interested and working in all dimensions of business and Defense information technologies attend. The Trade Show exceeds 150 booths featuring industry and Government displays and demonstrations of emerging information technologies.
The InfoTech 2008 Conference theme is: "Enterprise Support to Our Warfighters"
InfoTech Conferences and other Dayton-Wright Chapter activities have been instrumental in helping to create the world-class “Hub” of High Performance Computing; constructive and virtual Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis, operational support systems expertise, Government and industry technical infrastructure, and other technical capabilities that exist in the Wright-Patterson/Greater Dayton Region. This national “Hub” of IT capability is a major enabling force behind Air Force Materiel Command’s leadership of the Develop and Sustain Warfighting Systems Air Force and Air Force Smart Operations 21 initiatives; the Aeronautical Systems Center’s technical leadership in building the modeling, simulation, and analysis processes (Air Force—Integrated Collaborative Environment) necessary to support Development Planning and Capabilities Integration for the Air Force; and the 554 Electronic Systems Group’s implementing the Operational Support Modernization Program necessary for on-going support of Global War on Terror combat operations.
